Adria
Adria is a fourth year Criminology, Victimology major working in the Division of Research and Graduate studies. This is also her fourth year working for the department. In her role, she has gained skills in problem solving, interpersonal communication, writing, teamwork, critical thinking, and time-management. She says that the most rewarding part of working at DRGS is “having a staff that wants me to succeed. My team is always there for me when I have questions and supports me in all my endeavors.”. She feels extremely lucky to work with an incredible team of talented individuals!
Chae
Chae is in her fourth year as a 3D Character Design major. She has worked in the Financial Aid Office for the past year. Here, she notes that the most rewarding aspect of her position is “meeting so many new friends and seeing how successful they are through the guidance and assistance that I provided for them! I also get to work with so many amazing counselors who really do go above and beyond for their students”. During this year she has learned to work with various other Fresno State departments, continuing to develop her problem solving and communication skills.
Lilia
Lilia is a first year Liberal Studies student who recently started working in the Financial Aid Office. While working on campus, she feels that she has “gained a deeper understanding of the (financial aid) process and become more detail oriented, confident, and professional. The most rewarding part of working in this department is gaining hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge while directly supporting students”
Alexis
Alexis is currently a third year student studying Pre-Health, with a minor in Child Development. She is going on her third year working in the Fresno State Library at the Circulation. Through her work, she continues to work on interpersonal communication, adaptability, collaboration, and organizational skills. In her words, the most rewarding part of work at circulation is “knowing I helped make a Fresno State student or patron’s day a little easier after providing them with some assistance!”
Maddy
Maddy is an Animal Science, Pre=Professional major in her third year of studies. Her position in the Agriculture Operations (Animal Science) Meat Lab allowed her to learn important skills like time management, perseverance and teamwork! “The most rewarding part of the Meat Lab is seeing everyone who loves what we sell at the Gibson Farm Market and knowing that we worked hard making quality products for people to serve their families”
