CivicSpark AmeriCorps Fellowship

The CivicSpark Fellowship is a paid AmeriCorps program designed for emerging professionals interested in public service, sustainability, resilience, public health, housing, transportation, and community planning.

Fellows serve with local governments and community organizations on impactful projects that help communities address real-world challenges such as climate resilience, disaster preparedness, affordable housing, water management, public health, and infrastructure planning.

Participants gain hands-on professional experience, leadership development, mentorship, and networking opportunities while making a meaningful impact in communities across California, Colorado, and Washington.

Program Lengths:

  • Full-Term Fellowship: 11 months
  • Three-Quarter Fellowship: 8 months

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be at least 17 years old
  • U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident
  • Associate degree or higher preferred/required depending on placement
  • Interest in public service and community impact

  • Sustainability and resilience planning
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Program implementation support
