Position Description
Black Water Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Civil EngineeringIntern to support water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects throughoutCalifornia. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongsideprofessional engineers on real municipal projects.
The position may be full-time or part-time depending on your availabilityand will run for a 3–6 month term.
Typical Responsibilities
- Assist licensed professionals with planning and design of potable water, wastewater, and storm drainage systems
- Support hydraulic modeling, pipeline layout, and engineering calculations
- Prepare technical exhibits, figures, and draft documentation
- Compile and organize data for feasibility studies and technical reports
- Assist with regulatory and compliance-related documentation
- Support field data collection and review of existing system information
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
- Junior or Senior standing preferred (Graduate students also welcome)
- Interest in water, wastewater, and public infrastructure systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work and contribute in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD or modeling software experience is a plus
