Position Summary
Primary responsibilities shall be to support andconduct field audits of farming practices to ensure implementation of COR’sfarm plan under the Farm QC Department. And assist in the taking of farm andgrower fruit samples, plus aid in the data collection of study and trialprojects for the season.
Essential Functions
· Travel incompany vehicles to visit grower and COR facilities. Must maintain a gooddriving record and follow the fleet management program. Part of which includestaking a turn to drive down to the Fresno area to visit growers’ fields.
· Data andsample collection, which includes but is not limited to: DU testing, watersampling, leaf samples, soil samples, pomace samples, fruit samples, and aidingin trials and studies.
· Data analysisand Microsoft projects, which include but is not limited to: Updating documentregisters, creating forms, writing or updating how-to guides, updating orwriting procedures, creating pivot tables and charts to trend data.
· Field workwhich includes but is not limited to tree measurements, harvester efficiency,inspections and audits, and maintaining wildlife preserve.
· Other dutiesas assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
· Organized anddetail oriented.
· Be able to dobasic formulas and data entry into excel.
· Be able towork alone and with others.
- Bachelors’ degree in Plant Science, AG Business, Food Science, AG Education or experience/a background in agricultural related work
- Valid driver’s license
