The Food Court DSG is an innovative online training platform created by Definitive Safety Group to help food business owners, managers, and staff master food safety.
Through our Spring 2026 International Internship Program, we are seeking passionate, globally-minded content creators and correspondents who want to share their unique cultural perspectives on food safety while helping food entrepreneurs worldwide bring their highest excitements into reality.
This is more than an internship—it’s an opportunity to become a global voice in food safety education while building your professional portfolio and earning based on your performance. You’ll contribute educational content, cultural insights, and research that helps The Food Court DSG platform serve a diverse, international audience.
Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to become a certified food safety instructor, teaching certification courses virtually and becoming a registered proctor with the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP). This credential opens doors to ongoing teaching opportunities in your home country and establishes you as a recognized professional in the field.
Core Responsibilities:
Global Content Creation & Thought Leadership (Primary Focus)
• Research and develop educational content showcasing food safety practices from your cultural perspective
• Write blog posts, articles, and training materials highlighting global approaches to food safety
• Create compelling case studies about food businesses and food safety challenges in your region
• Contribute to The Food Court DSG podcast as a guest or cultural correspondent
• Develop social media content that engages international audiences
• Produce video content, infographics, or multimedia educational materials
• Translate or adapt existing DSG content for international audiences
• Share insights on regional food safety regulations, cultural food practices, and compliance approaches
• Earn content creation bonuses for all published work
Food Safety Instruction & Certification
• Complete NRFSP proctor training and certification (provided by DSG)
• Assist in teaching food safety certification courses under DSG supervision (virtual delivery)
• Conduct certification exams as a registered NRFSP proctor
• Deliver virtual food safety training to international audiences
• Earn instructor fees for courses taught
Educational Program Development
• Assist in developing online training modules and certification programs
• Create region-specific food safety guides and best practices documents
• Design interactive learning experiences for food business owners
• Contribute to curriculum development for The Food Court platform
• Help develop culturally-sensitive training approaches for diverse audiences
Business Development & Market Research
• Actively network and identify potential DSG clients in your region or network
• Conduct market research on food safety needs and challenges in your country/region
• Generate leads through professional and academic networks
• Represent DSG in relevant virtual events, conferences, or online communities
• Earn commission on all new clients you successfully bring to DSG (services delivered by US-licensed team, commission paid upon client payment)
• Create business development materials tailored to international markets
Research & Cultural Intelligence
• Research international food safety regulations and compliance frameworks
• Analyze cultural differences in food safety practices and risk perception
• Identify global trends in food business operations and food safety technology
• Contribute to white papers and research reports on global food safety topics
• Document best practices from international food safety systems
Professional Community Engagement
• Work with a global community of interns and correspondents
• Participate in collaborative learning sessions and cross-cultural knowledge exchanges
• Engage with DSG’s network of food safety professionals

What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student (Public Health, Environmental Health, Nutrition, Food Science, or related field)
• Strong English writing and communication skills
• Genuine passion for food safety and helping entrepreneurs succeed
• Cultural awareness and ability to bridge perspectives across different food systems
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
• Excellent research and content creation skills
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
• Interest in food safety, public health, or global health systems
• Strong writing, storytelling, or digital content skills
• Experience with social media, blogging, or content marketing
• Multilingual abilities (especially for translation opportunities)
• Photography, videography, or graphic design skills
• Public speaking or teaching experience
• Networking ability and comfort with professional outreach
• Understanding of food safety practices in your home country/region
• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in business development

If selected for the internship you MUST ENROLL IN THE APPROPRIATE INTERNSHIP COURSE FOR YOUR MAJOR BEFORE STARTING YOUR INTERNSHIP HOURS.
