GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Sales Intern will gain real world experience by assisting Sales Managers with day-to-day tasks and working on sales-related projects.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Work closely with staff to learn the various Fresh Pack products and how they flow through the seed-to-shipment database and inventory management system.
- Assist the Sales team with order pricing, direct customer interaction, and contract maintenance.
- Organize and analyze data
- Create and deliver a final presentation to the executive team of Dole Fresh Vegetables.
- Other duties as assigned
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
- Summer 2025, 12-week internship
- 100% onsite (not a remote internship)
- Pay Rate: $20 – $22 per hour
- No relocation or housing assistance provide

- Desire to be part of the fresh vegetable industry
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Developed organizational skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment
- Valid California driver’s license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to walk on uneven ground.
WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Full time, 40-hour workweek, no overtime expected
- Ability to work early shift starting at 6:00am Pacific Time
- 12-week internship
- Using intern’s personal vehicle, travel to and from Dole facilities and/or field locations in the Salinas Valley
EDUCATION LEVEL AND FIELDS OF STUDY
- Fall 2025 rising college junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- Or a community college student who has completed a minimum of 40 college credits
- Open to any college majors as long as the applicant has a desire to join the Agribusiness industry
