Position Title: AIMS Math Tutor

Commitment: Average of 10 hours per week, a typical assignment will be 2-3 hours several days a week during the Fall 2025 semester
Pay Rate: Starting $18.50/hour
Position Summary:
Join the AIMS team as a Math tutor to work with Kindergarten through grade 8 students at a Fresno Unified School District elementary or middle school. Tutors will gain experience in learning how to develop plans, implement lessons with students, and reflect on progress throughout the school year all while participating in creative activities.

Primary Job Duties:
- Work as a math tutor in an elementary or middle school classroom during the school day and/or after school
- Participate in training and coaching sessions with AIMS team members to help develop effective strategies and approaches when working with students
- Plan and implement lessons in small groups under the guidance of a site lead and in collaboration with AIMS
Desired Skills/Abilities and Other Requirements:
- Tuberculosis (TB) and Fingerprinting clearance upon hire
- Must be eligible for Federal Work Study through Financial Aid for Work Study positions; a few non-work study positions are also available.
- Must be 17 years or older by the start of your service term
- Ability to attend weekly training sessions at AIMS and maintain a consistent tutoring schedule throughout the school year
- Good communication and relational skills
- Organized, flexible, able to multitask and work well with others
- Consistent, reliable, and good time management skills
- Previous experience working with children or interest in an education or teaching career preferred
