Academic Success Coaching’s Academic Coach will be responsible for providing holistic coaching to students on effective study strategies, assist students to navigate the college experience by connecting students to relevant resources, work in collaboration with students to develop effective goals and create study plans. The Academic Coach will co-facilitate Academic Success Workshops, develop outreach materials, contribute to research, conduct outreaches, support in committee related work and work on other projects as assigned.
Eligibility
- Junior, senior, or graduate student interested in working in the field of Higher Education
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Qualifications
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise independent professional judgement while working with students
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work with diverse groups of students including faculty and staff
- Experience providing advising or academic coaching in multiple settings (in-person, online, etc.)
- Experience working with students in one-on-one and group settings
- Student outreach experience
- Experience with facilitation of workshops and/or presentations
- Excellent technology skills: Word, Excel, Bulldog Connect (EAB), Canvas, and other software
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to intern for at least two semesters
