As our Legal Document Specialist, you will play a crucial role in reviewing, completing, and explaining legal contracts, forms, and agreements that are essential for our construction projects. You will work closely with the CEO, providing support by ensuring all documents are filled out correctly and clearly, and you will explain the key details of these documents to ensure informed decision-making. Your role is vital in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all legal paperwork without direct involvement with an attorney.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and analyze legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and forms related to construction projects.
* Accurately complete and process legal documents, ensuring all required information is provided and that the document meets legal and company standards.
* Clearly explain the contents and implications of legal documents to the CEO in simple, understandable terms to facilitate informed decisions.
* Ensure that all legal documents are in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
* Keep track of deadlines for contract execution, renewals, and compliance-related paperwork.
* Maintain an organized and accessible filing system for all legal documents.
* Collaborate with project managers and other departments to gather necessary information for accurate document completion.
* Assist with any legal research related to construction regulations and contract terms, as needed.
* Proven experience in reading, understanding, and completing legal documents (previous experience in construction or contract-related legal work is a plus).
* Ability to break down complex legal jargon and explain documents in a way that is easy to understand for non-legal professionals, particularly the CEO.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documents simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly and simply.
