In the Sociology Club, members promote the concepts and values of the field of sociology. Members are given the opportunity to not only socialize with students who have similar interests but to apply what they learn in the classroom to provide services and mitigate social problems at Fresno State and in the community. The Sociology Club has organized and participated in a myriad of events that benefitted the school and surrounding community, ranging from a program that provides free dental care to low-income children to an event that promoted college education to students at low-income middle and high schools. Of course, the club also hosts fun social events that allow club members to get to know each other.
