Civil Engineer to draft, design, review construction plans, specifications, reports, standards and various formwork within the engineering field.
Ideal Candidate should demonstrate:
- Basic knowledge of Civil Engineering concepts
- Basic knowledge of Specifications and Cost Estimating
- Basic knowledge of City and Caltrans Standards
- Basic knowledge of Grading Plans, Improvement Plans, Final Maps
- Basic knowledge of Erosion Control Plans and Storm water Control Plans
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD software in development of two and three-dimensional models
- Basic knowledge of Americans with Disability Act
- Basic knowledge of standard construction means and methods as it applies to public improvements
- Ability to work effectively, efficiently and be responsive in a timely manner
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including a computer and assigned software
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and assignments
- Be well organized, maintain plan check and observation records, and accurately communicate the status of each project
Minimum Qualifications:
- AutoCAD knowledge required
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- 0-2 years experience in the engineering or construction field
Education:
- B.S. in Engineering or obtaining a B.S. in Engineering
