2023 Fall Career and Internship Fair Employer Information

Fresno State’s Career and Internship Fair is next week! Please read the following logistical information carefully!

  1. Location and Time:

Location: Satellite Student Union (see included campus map)

Set up Time: Beginning at 9:30am

Event Time: 11am-3pm*

*Please remain until the end of the event at 3pm. Students will continue to attend throughout the day depending on their class schedules.

  1. Parking and Unloading:

*Due to construction and very limited parking on campus, please read this section fully!*
Please refer to included campus map.

Employer parking: Located at the Northwest corner of Chestnut Ave. and Matoian Way – LOT 3 of the Save Mart Center parking lot. The parking lot is circled in red in the campus map provided.

Parking pass: Please see parking pass below. Please print the parking pass and put it on your dashboard. 

Shuttle vans: Shuttle vans will be available from 9:30-11:15am and 2-3:30pm to take you between the Satellite Student Union and Lot 3. Shuttle van stops are indicated with a yellow star in the campus map provided.

Materials Unloading:  If you are bringing large items, you may drop them off first prior to parking your vehicle at the unloading zone. Enter campus from Barstow Ave, go South on Maple Ave. Follow signs to unload near the back of the Satellite Student Union. Volunteers will help you unload and move your supplies to your booth while you park your vehicle.

*Please note we are not responsible for any parking tickets incurred. Please make sure you print out a parking permit and display it on your dash. Please DO NOT park in lots and spaces marked for Carpool and/or Disabled Parking and only park in Lot 3 at the Save Mart Center.

  1. Lunch and Refreshments:

Breakfast refreshments: Light refreshments, coffee, tea, and water will be available beginning at 9:30am

Boxed lunch: Boxed lunches will be available starting at 10:30am. Lunch tickets will be provided in your Welcome Packet (given when you check-in at the day of the event). The number of tickets will be according to how many representatives you indicated when you registered. 

*If you require a vegetarian lunch or have special dietary needs, please contact Damian Lay at dlay@csufresno.edu as soon as possible. 

  1. Expectations and Other Tips:

We are so excited to welcome you back on our campus to meet our students in person. Please read the following tips to ensure the best experience.

  • *NEW* All students will have different color wrist bands this year:
    • Red: Exploring and Networking only
    • Yellow: Looking for internship and part time opportunities
    • Green: Open to Work
  • If you have not already, please confirm your attendance by emailing the names and email addresses of your representatives to our Employer Connection Specialist, Damian Lay, at dlay@csufresno.edu as soon as possible.
  • We have invited ALL students on campus to attend this event. Therefore, there will be freshmen and different students exploring and asking general questions. This will be a great opportunity to establish your brand and presence on campus. 
  • Please note that as much as we try to prepare our students, some students will be dropping in the fairs in between classes, and as such, may not be dressed in business attire. 
  • The most successful organizations are the ones who are proactive in reaching out and welcoming our students who walk past your booth. As much as we try to prepare our students, many of them are from first generation backgrounds and tend to be more shy. This is one caveat that comes with our diverse student population. Please be proactive and initiate with our students.
