Position: Graduate Counseling Intern
Job Description: Under the direct supervision of an EOP counselor, the counselor intern is responsible for providing counseling, advising, and student support services to an assigned caseload of students. The counselor intern works closely with students through individual and small-group sessions to support their academic success, career development, and personal and social transition to the university environment.
Duties Include:

Manage a caseload of assigned students

Orient students to the university environment, academic policies, rules and regulations, and graduation requirements

Provide academic advising and personal counseling

Meet with assigned students and maintain appointment notes on EAB Navigate/Bulldog Connect.

Provide resource information and referrals to campus resources
-
Facilitate academic advising, general information sessions, and workshops
-
Attend weekly staff meetings and other scheduled meetings
-
Support planning, organizing, and facilitating large-scale events
-
Support with EOP social media
-
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Must be enrolled in a graduate counseling program and have completed the practicum course

Must know campus resources, university policies, and procedures

Have a desire to work with college students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds

Must be available to attend trainings on Wednesdays from 2 pm-3:30 pm
